Lost Pine

"Strange that so few come to the woods to see how the pine lives and grows and spires, lifting its evergreen arms to the light – to see its perfect success."

      Henry David Thoreau

Passions

While the objectives of the Lost Pine web site remain the sharing of the Gospel's message of hope, there is that ever present reality called sustenance that influences our daily lives.  Yes, we must work for a living.  My own career has been woven through the ever evolving computer.  In this rapidly changing area of technology, learning must be constant.  This web site extends my opportunities to expand my knowledge.  For this opportunity, I am most thankful.

The information shared here is intended to feed the passions of others and help them gain knowledge in the application of standard, low cost tools for converting one's bully pulpit into web pages.  You will find a white paper detailing my low cost web development strategy.  Sample sites will hopefully stimulate your creativity.  You will also find some of my favorite technical links.

This site contains shareware developed by Lost Pine.  The shareware is used to help defray the cost of hosting this site.

Lost Pine works best with Microsoft Explorer 6 and you can link to information and a free download below.  If you are interested in the Internet privacy tools, you will need this latest version of the browser.

Web Sites

wekivapresbyterian.org

This is the site of our home church.  The content and initial structure was Lost Pine's first web site.  The prototype site was first developed with FrontPage then professionally re-hosted by Sales & Marketing Technologies.

tims.com

The TIMS site is an on-going project of Lost Pine's.  The site was developed entirely within a Microsoft FrontPage environment.

Within the TIMS product line, a web hosting application was also developed for medical imaging storage and retrieval.  This application was another FrontPage project, proving again the power of standard, low cost tools.

medicalstaffbuilders.com

This site was created with FrontPage 2002 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000.  MedicalStaffBuilders.com provides healthcare providers low cost advertising and healthcare workers an easy system for matching job skills to available positions.  This is the latest project of Lost Pine's.
