John 15:4 "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me."

Commentary: It is not hard to find our secular world filled with successful non-Christians.  Their success, however, is limited to things of value only to this world. Through the parable of the vine and the branches, Christ tells us that to Him, things are of value only if we have remained attached to the vine (dependent upon Christ).
